D8212 — Audio Distribution System

D8212 AUDI0 DISTRIBUT I ON SYSTEM The WBS D8212 establishes totally new performance parameters for professional audio distribution systems Each MF-82 compact frame houses up to twelve M8205 plug-in high performance card amplifiers with two M8245 switch-mode power supplies in just two vertical standard rack units of space The unique front panel design permits conventional hinge opening or quick-release removal for direct access to the amplifier level trim controls.

AlI audio terminals are gold . Either solder type or quick connect crimp terminals may be specified. The actively balanced input of each M8205 DA accommodates input signal levels from -22 dBm to +14 dBm via single, continuously variable trim control Over the adjustment range, high rejection to common mode input voltage is maintained (greater than 80 dB) screwdriver trim adjustment is standard, knob is available as an option_ Eight actively balanced outputs are provided by each M8205 DA _ AI 600 ohm outputs are capable of simultaneously delivering maximum signal level of +24 dBm, with distortion typically less than 0.0057 and noise floor greater than 120 dB below maximum output.

Isolation between outputs is better than 90 dB , and output offset voltages are restricted to the microvolt region . In those stereo applications where the left and right channels may need to be combined as L+R (sum) or L-R (difference) signals, the M8206 ma trixing DA may be substituted.
