Operation (1)

Front Panel — 219 words · 2014 - POD14A - MANUAL.docx, page 1

Front panel controls and tallies include a power switch with LED tally, a momentary step switch and LED indicators to cycle through the internally generated sample rates from 32 to 192 kHz. Two LEDs that indicate whether the external or internal reference is used. The external sampling rate reference signal has precedence over the internally generated signal. As soon as an external reference signal is detected, POD14A will automatically switch to it.

REAR PANEL

Connections to POD14A are made on the rear panel. Analog inputs are via 3-pin Phoenix® pluggable connectors, connections to the digital reference and two digital outputs may be made by using the Phoenix® 3-pin pluggable connectors for balanced 110 Ohm installation or BNCs for unbalanced 75 Ohm installation. Level trim controls for analog input signal level control are located adjacent to the analog input connectors. The AC power cord and Fuse are also located on the rear panel.

SETUP

There are no special setup procedures necessary prior to using POD14A. Simply plug the unit into an AC power outlet and connect input and output cables. POD14A is factory calibrated to output a nominal -20dBFS digital signal when a +4 dBu signal is applied at the analog inputs. The input trim controls may be used to set POD14A up for a different nominal digital output signal
