Connections and circuit (ideal SPICE model)

Drawn live from its RTO-144 connections: run the generator, turn the gain, watch the VU. Open the netlist to see how the model is built.

Pinout & connections

Each contact as its own documents name it: 19 named (19 high confidence). An empty slot is a contact no page names. Hover a contact for its source; the table under the drawing lists them.

Description — 1035 words · 1980 - M480B - SCAN.pdf, page 5

M48OB INPUT MODULE The M48OB input module provides the necessary input selection equalization and output assignment for the operation of smal mixing console, primarily the T1202 transportable console_ Input The INPUT SELECTOR switches SW1 SW2 and Sw3 allows choice of input selections between two Iine and two microphone inputs_ When operating from microphone source the input impedance of the unit is substantially higher than the source impedance In the LINE position_ the M48OB presents bridging impedance of 30k ohms to the source AII inputs to the module are transformer-coupled to the preamplifier _ Preampl ifiec The secondary side of the input transformer T1 connects to the pre- ampl ifier comprising Q1 02 u1 and their associated components SENSiTiViTY control R54 allows continous gain adjustment of all input signals over range of 30 dB _ The SENSiTiViTY control thus permits operation with microphone input levels from -70 dBm to -40 dBm and Iine input levels from -20 dBm to +10 dBm . Equalizer The signa output from the preamplifier is fed to the equalizer mix amplifier u2 _ This amplifier also receives feeds from the equalizer filter circuitry R2o is the cut/boost control for the HIGH FREQUENCY shelving of the equalizer and feeds an in-phase or out-of-phase proportional signal from the input or the output of u2 to high-pass fil- ter, consisting of u3 and its related components C8 and R16 are the frequency determining components The output from u3 is fed through R19 to the summing input of u2 . Depending upon its phase, this signal is either added or subtracted from the main signal through U2, affect ing cut or boost of the high frequency portion of the audio spectrum. Similarily, the cut/boost control R25 for the Low FREQUENCY section feeds signal to the low-pass filter consisting of U4 and iis associated components. The frequency determining components of this fi ter are C12 and R28 _ The output of u4 is fed through R18 to the summ ing input of u2 to be either added or subtracted from the main signal through u2, affecting cut or boost of the low frequency portion of the audio spectrum. 2-1

M48OB NPUT MODULE SOLO/CUE Output SOLO/cuE Output is provided and appears at pins & E at the module connector This output is designed as s0k ohm current source and operates into the zero impedance summing node of the SOLO/cuE summing bus_ The SOLO/cUE switch SW6 also provides dc control contact to effect control of external circuitry_ AuX Output An AuX output is provided to feed an auxiliary mixing bus With the PRE/ Post Sw tch SW7 the signal can be picked up either ahead of the attenuator (PRE) or after the attenuator (PosT) SdB loss pad in the PRE position of SW7 reduces the signal level in the PRE- position to that of the POST-position (nominal attenuator in-hand setting is 1SdB) Aux level control R87 provides level control for the Aux channel and switch SW1O is the AuX channel assignment switch. Description — 359 words · 1980 - M480B - complete_Page_04.jpg, page 1

M48oB INPUT MODULE The M48OB input module provides the necessary input selection equalization and output assignment for the operation of small mixing console, primarily the T1202 transportable console. Jnput The INPUT SELECTOR switches SW1 , SW2 and Sw3 lows choice of input selections between IWo Iine and two microphone inputs. When operating from microphone source, the input impedance of the unit is substantially higher than the source impedance .

In the LINE position, the M4BOB presents bridging impedance of 30k ohms to the source . AI inputs to the module are transformer-coupled to the preamplifier. Preamplifier The secondary side of the input transformer T1 connects to the pre- amplifier comprising Q1 , 02 U1 and their associated components. SENSITIViTY control R54 allows continous gain adjustment of all input signals over range of 30 dB _ The SENSITIVITY control thus permits operation with microphone input levels from -70 dBm to -40 dBm and Iine input levels from -20 dBm [0 +10 dBm .

Equalizer The signal output from the preamplifier is fed to the equalizer mix amplifier u2 . This amplifier Iso receives feeds from the equalizer filter circui try R20 is the cut/boost control for the HIGH FREQUENCY shelving of the equalizer and feeds an in-phase or out-of-phase proportiona signal from the input or the output of u2 to high-pass filter, consisting of u3 and its related components_ C8 and R16 are the frequency determining components The output from u3 is fed through R19 to the summing input of u2 .

Depending upon its phase, this signal is either added or subtracted from the main signal through u2 , affecting cU t or boost of the high frequency portion of the audio spectrum. Similarily, the cut/boost control R25 for the Low FREQUENCY section feeds signal to the Iow-pass filter, consisting of U4 and iis associated components. The frequency determining components of this filter are C12 and R28 .

The output of 44 is fed through R18 to the summing input of u2 to be either added or subtracted from the main signal through u2 , affecting cut or boost of the low frequency portion of the audio spectrum 2-1
