Connections and circuit (ideal SPICE model)
Drawn live from its RTO-144 connections: run the generator, turn the gain, watch the VU. Open the netlist to see how the model is built.
Pinout & connections
Each contact as its own documents name it: 20 named (20 high confidence). An empty slot is a contact no page names. Hover a contact for its source; the table under the drawing lists them.

The output signal trom this amplifier is coupled [0 tne module outputs via capacitors C44 and C45_ Pan Control The Pan Control R8o/R81/R82/R83 allows cross-fade 0f the output signal to be made between the M1 and the M2 outputs. This control 15 only active when the Pan Insert swilch Sw8 is depressed. Master Assignment The booster amplifier output is ruuted to the master assignment switches SW9 and Sw1o via the pan circuit. MI and M2 outputs are current sources and operate into zero Tmpedance summ ing nodes via 91k ohms mixing resistors. The M1 and M2 assignment switches also provide DC control contact closure for external signal ing Tt should be noted that thesc contact closures arf intended to operate with smal signall ing voltages and currents only To minimize the possibility of creating Sw i itching transients within the audio system i[ is recommended that external control buffers be ulilized to isolate inductive relay loads, large in-rush currents from incandescent Iamps, ctc . 2-3
WARD-BECK systems LTD CIRCUII DESCRIPHION Ma8oc inPuT MODULE Aux QutPut An Aux output i5 prov ided to feed an auxil iary mixing bus. The Pre/ Post switch Sw? al lows the signal to be picked up either ahead of the fader (Pre) Or after the fader (Post ) When the fader is Sel t0 its nomninal 15 dB in-hand selling, the levels of either the Pre or the Post position are equal Potentiometer R9o is the level control for the AuX channel and switch Swi| is the assignment switch. The AuX oulpul, appearing 4[ pins & D of the module connector is designed as 91k ohms current source, operating into the zuro impedance summing node of the Aux mi xing bus_ Solo/Cue Output The signal for tne Solo/Cue circuil is bridged of f the Output amplifier output at pins 16 and routed through SW12 to summing resistors R97 and R98 ,_ The Solo/Cue output appears at pins & E of the module connector . The Solo/Cue switch Sw12 also provides DC control coniacl [o effect control of external circuitry. PGMPEAK_Indicators PGM/PEAK Indicator provides visual Ievel indication for the M480C . The two-color LED DS2 will flash green ith normal program Ievels of vu and above 4 [ the fader insert point. It wiii change to red 4[ approximetely +22 dBm to indicate Peak overload condition Indicator threshold trim control R104 and resistors RiOS t0 R1o7 set the reference voltages for comparators U8A and u8B The outputs of comparators UBA and UBB are normally high Tor audio levels below the calibrated threshold points Comparator UBB is activated for norMa program levels of vu or greater . WARD-BECK Systems LTD; CIRcUIT DESCRIPTON M480c INPUT MODULE The M48oc Input Module provides the necessary input selection, equali - zation and output assignment for the operation of cach input channel of the T1202A transportable console- Input Input Selector switches Sw2 (A/B Select ) and SW4 (Mic/Line Select) permit the selection of inputs between two Iine and two microphone sources Sw3 inserts 20 dB pad into the microphone inpul. SW1 selects the +LBV phantom power for condenser' microphone applications The module input presents bridging load of grea ter than 750 ohms t0 microphone Sources and 30k ohms 10 Iine sources. AI selected inputs to the module are transformer coupled to thc preamplifier circuity Preamel ifier The secondary side of the input transformer T1 cannects t0 the pre= arplifier, comnprising 01,02,U1 and their associated components. Sen - sitivity control R25 allows continous level adjustment of all input signals over range of 30 dB _ The Sensitivity control permits one [0 operale with microphone input level variances Trom 70 dBm [0 ~L0 dBm (-50 dBm [0 20 dBm with pad inserted) and Iine input levels Trom 20 dBm to +10 dBm for the same nominal output level of dBm . Equalizer The signal output from the preamplifier is fed to the output amplifier via the Eq insert Swi tch, SWs This signal is also fed to the equalizer mix amplifiers u2. These amplifiers also receive feeds from the equalizer filter circuitry. R29 is the cut/BOOST Con trol for the High Frequency section of the equalizer and feeds an in-phase or out-of-phase proportional signal Trom the input or trom the output of UZA Lo the summing input of U2A via capacitor C15 and resistor R33 . Depending upon its phase, this signal is either added or subtracted from the main signal through U2A affecting cut or boost to the high frequency portion of [he audio spectrum 2-1
