Preamplifier Output and PHASE Reversa l The output of the filter feeds the preamplifie r output s t e ae , consisting of ZI, Q6. 07. zz , 08 and Q9. The actively balanced output is subsequently routed through the PHASE reversal switch to the insert point . INSERT Poin t A balanced INSERT point is provided betwee n P2 , pins 8tJ and P2. pi ns 6tF to allow t he use of insert j ecks , permit t t ng the insertion of e nc t llary equipment into the signal path . The INSERT point is followed by the CHANNEL ON switc h. CHANNEL ON Switch

The CHANNEl ON switch SW8 controls a 11 outputs of the module with the exception of the PFl output. PREFADE -liSTEN (PFLl and PEAK Overload Indicator The bridging takeoff for the PFl output and the PEAK overload indicator is picked up between the INSERT point and the CHANNEl ON switch. Z3 operates as a voltage comparator. It compares the rectified audt c signal with an externally suppl ied reference voltage, applied to connector P2. pin 16. With the reference voltage ranging from 0 to approximately +10 vo l t s , c e t t br-e t t c n of the overload point from -6 d8m to +27 dBm is possible . PEAK overload is indica ted on DS2.

Following SW8, the signal is brought out of the modul e via P2. pins 7tH for insertion of a balanced fader . The output of the fader is returned to the module on P2 , pins 5/E. The input side of the fad er also supplies the feed for the four PREFADE AUXILIARY channels via switches SW9 through SWI2. a .c

DIRECT Output The output signal of the booster amplifier feeds the DIRECT output a t connector Pl, pins 3/C. This output is designed to operate into a bridging load of 10 1: ohms or higher . The nominal level of the DJRECT output is 0 dBm. HASTER, SUBHASTER and AUXILIARY Outputs The booster amp l t rte r also provid es the fe eds for the left and right HASTER a nd SUBHASTER outputs via PAN s ....i tch SII13 and PAN control RB4 through R8J . Addition al f e e d s are supplied to the SOLO output via SWll and to the four AUXILIARY outputs ....hen in the POSTFADE mode . With the exception of the DIRECT output , all outputs are designed a s 30 1: ohm current sources, to oper ate into zero impedance summing nodes. Each summing output is equipped ....i th its own assignment s ....i tch . Con t r o l Functions DC control and logic muting functions are provid ed through the HIC/L1NE INPUT Selector switchu a nd the CHANNEL ON switch to facilitate studio mute control functions.
