Connections and circuit (ideal SPICE model)

Inputs, outputs, power and control as its own documents name them (no RTO-144 sheet for it: pin numbers only where the page gives them). Run the generator, turn the gain, watch the VU.

Pinout & connections

Each contact as its own documents name it: 7 named (7 medium confidence). An empty slot is a contact no page names. Hover a contact for its source; the table under the drawing lists them.

M52OAMONO INPUT MODULE

The M520A provides the monophonic input chanDel facitities for the ST series of StereoTelevisionconsoles.

The module has a ttansforder coupled input with source selection provided for two microphoneatrd two line inputs.Phantompower selectionis p.ovided for condenser microphone applicatiotrs. The microphooe inputs have an additional 20 dB loss pad, which may be selectedfor applicatiotrs where highe. than normal microphone input levels are experietrced(such as condensermicrophones).

The preamplifier has a cottinuously variable sensitivity control coveriDga 30 dB range. This allows the level of the source material to be optimally set for operat- ion within the input module. A 12 dB per octave High pass filier is associated with the preamplifier and allows selections of 75, I5O aDd 250 Hertz for the cut off frequencies.

An insert poiDt is provided fotlowing the p.eamplifier for the M522 Mono Equalize.. This equalizer is normally located imloediately above the M520A Input Module on the ST selies of consoles.

An actively balanced iltsert point, is also made available for the insert jackfield and the inline, balaDced, slide mixing attenuator.

The Prefade Listen function p.ecedes the Channel On selection. This Dermits the module sourcematerial to be donitored prior to i! being processed by thi module. A Direct Output, prior to bus selectorsand after pan pot, is tnade available on the module connector. This rday be optionally lsed as direct feeds for multirack appli- cations or to the inputs of atr external switching system.

Four stereo pushbutton bus selectorsare provided. The module output may be selected to any or all of four stereo submaster mixing buses. The bus selectors are preceded by a Patr control, which allows the operator to position the motro source as required acrossthe stereo spectrud.

The Solo fuDction take off point follows the pan control as weil. Therefore when Sole is sel€cted, the module output is fed to the stereo rionitoring systemin the same relationship as it is to the consolefirixing buses.

The Channel Otr and Solo futrctions of the M52OA Input Module are made via solid stlte FET switches. This provides for very reliable and silent switchinq. The Channel On and Solo colrtrols may, also be coDtrolled external to the mod;le by the mixing consolesmicroprocasso.basedcontrol system.

Fou. Auxiliary outputs are provided, each with a seDaratelcvel control, assignmetrt switch aod pre/postfade selector.Auxiliaries I and 2 feed stereo buses, while Aux- iliaries 3 and 4 feed mono buscs.

Program Qutput The mixing attenuator return connects to P2 pins and E and then to booster amplifier U5 and U6. The booster amplifier feeds the direct outputs, the Pan control R66 and R69 and the post fade Auxiliary Bus The audio signals fed from the Pan control R66 to R69 and its insertion switch SW6 form a left and right stereo bus.

The four submaster bus selectors SW7 to SW1O may be assigned a5 required to the stereo outputs. The mix bus outputs appear on connector Pl pins to 16. Each mix bus selector is provided with contact closure to feed tally information to the SA14-077 Logic Control Subassembly. The left and right direct outputs appear at P2 pins 8 and J, and P2 pins 9 and K respectively, which follow the Pan Control.

Solo The solid state solo switches are fed from the left and right stereo bus at the Pan control utput: FET's Q5 and Q6 along with U7 form a solid state switch and buffer amplifier for the Solo left channel. FETs Q7 and Q8 with the U& form the solid state switch and buffer amplifier for the Solo right channel Mixing resistors Rl07 and R108 connect to the left Solo Mix bus, while R12S and R126 connect to the right Solo Mix bus_ 4-2
